Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-04-23. Last updated: 2026-04-23.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PicklePlan (the "Service"), operated by PicklePlan, Inc. By creating an account, booking or accepting a session, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
You must be at least 18 years old (or have a parent or guardian accept on your behalf) to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Keep your credentials secret, and notify us immediately at support@pickleplan.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any other user.
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringing.
- Use the Service to facilitate payments outside of PicklePlan's booking + payout flow in a way designed to evade platform fees.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or disrupt the Service.
4. Coach Obligations
If you list coaching services on the Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate profile information, including credentials and rates.
- Hold any licenses, certifications, or insurance required in your jurisdiction.
- Honor confirmed bookings and communicate promptly with students.
- Follow the coach code of conduct, including our anti-harassment policy.
5. Bookings, Payments, and Refunds
Payments are processed via Stripe. Each coach sets a cancellation policy (hours before session, refund percentage within/after the free window) at profile setup; that policy governs refund eligibility for bookings with that coach. Refunds for the non-coach share of a session are subject to PicklePlan's platform fee, which may be non-refundable once earned.
Disputes and chargebacks are handled under Stripe's rules and PicklePlan's dispute-resolution process.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. PicklePlan is a marketplace connecting students and coaches and is NOT a party to the coaching engagement itself. Pickleball coaching involves physical activity; you participate at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PicklePlan's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Coach Contractor Addendum
Coaches using the Service are independent contractors, not employees of PicklePlan. You are responsible for your own taxes, including self-employment tax; PicklePlan may issue a Form 1099 for US coaches whose payouts exceed the applicable IRS threshold.
You own the intellectual property in the content you create and upload (drills, lesson plans, notes, videos). By uploading content to PicklePlan, you grant PicklePlan a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content to your students as part of delivering the Service. Payout terms, platform fee percentages, and minimum-payout thresholds are defined in your coach profile's payout configuration.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time. PicklePlan may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, for non-payment, or to protect the Service and other users.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
